So here it goes.. its official I have no luck! I'd been looking forward for several weeks that I was going to "find your sense of tumour" and I was nearly there I just had one more day with a top up of blood and a boost of platelets but no it wasn't going to be that simple and I ended up with a temperature and now spending the weekend in The Royal Marsden. I was pretty gutted when i heard the dreaded "38" Any ALL patient will no what i mean, no matter what happens you always end up having about 5 day stay and anti-botics.

The Crib. |
I got a bit emotional, luckily there was only a few nurse's about and they made me chuckle but I blame the fact I hadn't slept very well the night before as I've got the meanest and baddest of ulcers on the end of my tongue which for the last couple of nights has kept getting me up every few hours. Plus I'm just a big cry baby but I'm looking on the bright side though, I'm just going to think that I'm staying in a hotel as i do have my own room which is a bonus and I do get my meals brought to me which is very like room service and i have a en suite so if i just glam it up in my mind this could be a nice break away. Though i can't complain as i nearly ended up in my local A&E as the Marsden didn't have any beds for a while. I'm in the research ward and not exactly sure what there gonna do to me up here but I'm hoping they give me superhuman powers or something cool like that. If you see a giant green monster bouncing around the Sutton area it may be me.

The View from the penthouse. |
I'm watching the clock for 9:30 as the coach will be leaving at this time and i have the perfect view to watch it leave I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not as i feel tempted to do a runner but being the good little patient i wont. I was thinking of video blogging the "find your sense of tumour" but now wont be possible so i might still try and do something over the next few days. I feel like I should use this time to be creative or make a video, so no doubt your see a few bits come your way this weekend. So I'm going to finish of by watching Jeremy Kyle, while i wait for my parents to bring me my bits and pieces and a nice visit from my Nan no doubt she will have a few funny stories to tell.
Take care and keep smiling.
:)

It sounds four star to me!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame you're missing that seminar! That is a pain. I thought you were just missing a weekend away, which could easily be rescheduled. Boo!
It's probably for the best though, so take care of yourself.
