Merry Three Days Later..

MERRY THREE DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS!

The Thyme at the Tavern
Cinderella Pantomime

PART ONE

PART TWO

Hello boys and girls, sorry it's a little late but Merry Christmas! Well while I'm here I might as well wish you a Happy New Year! I had a good one thanks for asking, very low key but I was grateful for anything as I nearly ended up spending my Christmas in the Royal Marsden. As lovely as the Marsden is I wasn't exactly to excited to spend my Christmas there, I love my mums food to much.

The Tuesday before the big day I felt run down and full of cold, I woke up from a nap an order from my mum. I checked my temp and it was 39. So I spent the build up to Christmas in the pen, I mean the Marsden. Luckily I could have my PS3 so time went pretty quick, actually it was just like being at home just occasionally I get plugged into a machine. They bust me out on the Friday, the day before Christmas eve, so it was a very close shave. I would of just crossed it off an experience I've never had before and made the most of it but I was worried that the Marsden didn't have any chimneys for Santa to visit.

Anyway the real reason I dragged you here is to tell you about the two videos above. My brother Darren/Dandini was in a Pantomime and I've filmed and edited it together. It was real good laugh and very cheeky, the cast were brilliant and everyone keeps asking when the next one is, so go have a look see. It was held at the Tavern in Chertsey and Majority of the proceeds went to the Children's ward in St Peters. They done a brilliant job and everyone really came together to make the show a big success!

Gotta say I'm really looking forward to the new year, lets hope it kicks arse!

Hope you all have a great new years and don't party to hard!
Take care and keep smiling!

Back in Bay 2 Baby..

Hello Ladies and gents, this is my new video which I've been meaning to edit and upload for over a month now but haven't had the time or energy to do it. It's a silly little video I put together of my nephews playing in the park. I edited it into a pirate themed sketch and it actually came out pretty well, quite proud of it and it makes me chuckle. I didn't get them to say or do anything it was them just playing and using there imagination which made for great footage.  So check it out and I hope you like it!

Ickle update time, the reason I've been able to sit down and get the editing done is due to me getting a temp of 38 Saturday and ended up in the Royal Marsden. I'd been feeling ruff pretty much all week and I was getting lower and lower in myself, till finally Saturday was the dreaded temp of 38. It's Wednesday now and I'm hoping that there going to let me out today, fingers and toes crossed. I'm feeling way better now and more like myself.

At first I was put in the Bud East ward and I had a pretty good set up, my own room with a TV and all sorts. So I got dad to bring in my PS3 in so I wouldn't be so bored but then they moved me to Bud West the next day. Which means no PS3 for me, but never mind its kicked my arse into gear to start editing the footage I have left of my nephews and Thorpe park. Which is my mission to complete today.

I've also got to get my counts up by Monday as I'm being sent on a sailing trip through the charity CLIC Sargent and Ellen McCarthy Trust. Which involves 5 days of sailing around the Isle of wight, which I can't wait to go on so fingers crossed that my body is feeling generous with my cell count on Monday. I'm excited and nervous about the trip because I haven't done anything like this before and also meeting new people and being in a totally different environment is quite scary but I think it will be really good for me if I get to go.

Just want to say also if you haven't already heard I'm holding a fundraiser for Dave my Brother in Law who's running the marathon next year, he needs to raise over 1,800 for the charity CLIC Sargent. It's going to be on the 26th of November at the Royal British Legion in Virginia Water. It starts at 7pm and you need a ticket to get in which is £5. If your interested please contact me via email or facebook. I only have around 50 spaces left so please contact me in advance. The night will have a disco, buffet, several raffles, special events and more. I'll be posting what the raffle prizes are on my fundraising page in the future, but we've already been donated some awesome prizes thats for sure! It's also fancy dress or pink theme! So I'm hoping the night will be a blast and we can raise some money for an awesome charity!

Anyways peeps I'm gonna go finish these other videos and plead with the doctors to let me go home today.

Take care and keep smiling!

Happy Days!

Hello you fine people! So its been a few weeks since I've last updated, I know, I know, bad Katie! But I've been a busy bee! But before I tell you all about that I have some awesome news to tell you. I went to the hospital yesterday and it looks like for the time being that I don't need a transplant and I'm going to be carrying on with the maintenance. Which for me is awesome as I get to start living my life again, well much as I possible can. So a bit of weight lifted of my shoulders that I had been carrying the last 3 weeks. Just want to thank everyone for the kind words and endless encouragement you keep me strong! I love you all!

So I started my chemo yesterday which was vincristine and I will have that every month and I'll have a lumber puncture every 3 months and I have to take Chemo tablets every day. I don't seem to be effected by the chemo as yet, but we will see what happens over the next couple of weeks. I'm due back at the Royal Marsden in two weeks time for the Lumber puncture and check up.

So your wondering what I've been up to? Well me and my best friend Matt went to Amsterdam for a few days which was awesome. I can't wait to go again, such a fun and interesting place to visit. Also got my legs working again as I haven't walked that much in a very long time, I was a little crippled but I'm now feeling better for it. Then when I got back my Nephews of four and six came over to stay the week which involved Lego land, several parks, museums, paddling pools, castle crashers, big sticks, water balloons, football and all sorts of dinosaurs. Oh so very tiring but a lot of fun. Then my best friend Zaz came to stay the weekend just gone and that also involved paddling pools and water balloons and a nice trip to Richmond for some drinks and a boogie. Which I really enjoyed and had such a great time and luckily the weather has been awesome for all of it.

I've got loads of photos and video footage for the past two weeks so a few videos over the next week will be popping up! I'm currently sitting in Sarah's flat and my mission is to get some of the videos done but I know I'll get distracted by youtube as I'm not update with my video blogging fix but I'll try and be strong and get these videos up. So I'm gonna go crack on with these videos, I hope your all well and enjoying that gorgeous sun!

Take care and keep smiling!

Stem Cell & Bone Marrow Donation.

Hey my fellow humans! I just stumbled across this video and thought it was great for people who are sitting on the fence about donating or for people who haven’t even thought about it. This video is just over 3 mins long and as scary as the title sounds the video makes the process look harmless, which it is! Think about it, a day out of your life could save someone else’s?

For the people that are not sure what a Stem Cell Transplant is, click the link.

The thing is, this is a big deal for me as it may be me in the next couple of months having a Stem cell transplant. So getting a donor is really important, I think I have a few options from what my Leukaemia Nurse has said in the past. So fingers crossed that I have a match with someone, but I'm one of the lucky ones as theres lots of people that struggle to find a match. Yes I'm pulling on the heart strings so listen up! We all say this will never happen to us but in till it effects YOU or your FAMILY you don't do anything about it. Open your eyes people this is happening and as I said one day of yours can be traded to save another's life.

ITS AS EASY AS THAT VIDEO, THATS FRIGGIN CRAZY!

Nothing is 100% yet but I’m preparing myself for the next step and if I’m honest I’m very scared, but it doesn’t mean its going to get the best of me. I know a few people from the Royal Marsden, that have had a transplant and they’re doing great. There a real inspiration to me and the attitude of these people have given me the courage and determination to get through this. Such awesome beautiful people inside and out! I know its not going to be easy and I will have a long road a head of me but I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by awesome family and friends and I just wanna thank you all for being so amazing this last year!
Lets keep kicking ass people!

So please go check this video out or at least get the message out there!
 Go have a peek!
Take care and keep smiling you beautiful people!

LONDON GAY PRIDE 2011

Hey Geezers! I know its been a while, Its been a busy couple of weeks and this video is of last weekend of me and my mates at gay pride. It was a awesome day and I really enjoyed it was good to be back in London and having a good time with the gays again. I didn't get as much footage as I would of liked but I hope you enjoy the video!

I'm just editing the footage of the Sunday of the same weekend at Airplay studios, me and the guys went for a jam session and I had a really good time. I've really missed making music with them, it inspires me to keep playing my guitar as I've been a bit slack lately. Also its got me craving a drum kit, which always happens to me known again. I need to convince my mum that I NEED one!

Last Monday I had a bone marrow all went well except I kinda woke up from the sedation before they did it and felt a little pulling but it was okay other then that. I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow, I think I will get most of the results tomorrow but it takes around two weeks for the full results so maybe they wont tell me anything in till they have all the information. So I'll update you guys with the info as soon as I know whats going on.

Only 10 days to Amsterdam, I'm getting excited! Got my little travel guide like the tourist I am, the map pops out which also excites me! Right I'm off to bed now up early for the doc's! Night night my cherubs!

Take care and keep smiling!

Trophy Whore.

Hey peoples so I realised I've been mega lame on the blogging front, actually I've been pretty lame altogether these last couple of weeks. I've been slacking on my videos, blogs, twitter and photo booth the main reason for this is, I'm a trophy whore. Yes a trophy whore for those who do not know what one of these are well, Its a person who likes to collect trophies. Which are achievements you get when playing PS3 games, not the big metal things you keep on your mantel piece. I enjoy playing computer games but it seems to of got out of control trying to beat my brothers trophy score, I know I've got a problem. Anyways thats enough about my addictions, I'll update you with whats been going on.

So Monday I went to the doctors for a check up and just had my bloods tested, one of the reasons my counts weren't coming up very quickly was because I was lacking in folic acid so now I've got a tablet which helps with that so hopefully the counts should boost up now. The last couple of weeks I've been trying to build myself up and start to get these muscles working again. I've got to have another bone marrow on Monday the last one they couldn't get the exact results so on this bone marrow there going to use another technic on the blood to get the right results.

I got some very sad news one of the gentlemen I speak to Mr Seymour, his cancer has come back and he's really not well and he said to me that it would be his last time up at the Marsden. So my thoughts are with him and his wife. A very nice man and a pleasure to meet him.

I visited Sarah last weekend in Greenwich, which was really awesome and the weather was beautiful! This was the first time Id properly been out and ventured into London again. My legs really needed the workout and I feel better for it. The reason I'm trying to get the muscles back up and running is that I've booked to go away next month to Amsterdam which my bestie Matt and I want to be ready and able to enjoy it all.

Also this weekend is Gay pride in London so I'm going to that, I'll be videoing it. I missed out last year on my summer so I'm going to make the most of this one. Also got a few other things planned which I will mention nearer the time but I'm really looking forward to this summer.  Hope you all enjoyed the super hot weather! Also Friday night I'm going to a freak show, not to sure what to expect but I'll defo keep you posted.

I promise I'll update more I've got a few more events going on lately so I'll have better things to blog, tweet and vlog about!

Take care and keep smiling!

I need me a bit of sunshine.

Hello you wonderful people, so I'm just sitting in out patients getting some of the A+ stuff. I finished the intense course on friday but still seem to be having the side effects which is this awful migraine which made me sleep pretty much all day sunday. It has started to shift but I can still feel my eyes being pretty heavy. I've taken these strong painkillers which seem to of helped mega loads but they make me drowsy so my eyes are slowly getting heavier. Which isn't good when your trying to write a blog.

Other then this headache everything seems to be going well, I had a bit of a scare because my counts weren't coming up so I had a bone marrow. Which has come back in remission which is good I just have to wait for the other results. Which might takes us in another direction but we can go down that road as it comes but as I said everything is going pretty well.

The next thing now is to build myself up, ready for maintenance then hopefully I can go back to work and get back into the swing of things. My hair seems to be coming through quite quickly I can't wait to have some kind of style again. These little things make a big difference.

So a bit of subject change, I noticed on facebook a lot of people are off on their holidays, which I'm gonna be honest I'm mega jealous! I've been craving the beach for weeks now and I was suppose to go to cornwall with the family saturday but because my treatment was delayed I've had to stay at home. The weather hasn't been to great for them apparently but I think its been good enough to sit on the beach, I know the boys would sit on there in a storm. Well hopefully it will be me on my holidays soon, but I can't seem to make up my mind where to go, any suggestions?

Well I'm offskies see ya peoples!
Take care and keep smiling!

SPOON FIGHT!

Hey peoples, did you all have a good bank holiday? Well this video is just a quick update of my bank holiday monday, which was pretty chilled out and I really enjoyed it. Its a pretty silly video but I think it worth a watch, me and Sarah had a good giggle at trying to play the key board and making chocolate cornflakes.

I've nearly finished this course of treatment and tomorrow will be my last day. This chemo hasn't been to bad, I was feeling pretty sick but thanks to the anti-sickness injection I've been pretty good. Got a few things to mention but I'm gonna put that in another blog soon. Hope all you beautiful people are well!

Take care and keep smiling!

Never Give Up!

Hello ladies and gents, I just had a weird moment. I saw a Mr Seymour (I've mentioned him in a previous blog - Dr Batty) I hadn’t seen in a while and the doctors told him he had only months/weeks left when we saw him last. Apparently he’s doing better then ever and feeling fit and he actually looks better and well. It was really good to see him and I'm glad that what time he has left he is enjoying. Before he left he said to me "never give up" and it sent me straight into tears. So now I’m trying to contain myself in this crowded outpatients so no one sees. Luckily they walked off before they saw me get upset. Silly old me. I’m not sure why that happened.

I feel honoured that he said that to me and it shows you that determination and strong heart will get you through. A lot of people have said I'm pretty positive and I have a good outlook on life but thats only because I'm surrounded by amazing people that remind me everyday the reason to be strong and keep fighting. I lose my way sometimes but I get back on track with a kick up the arse, but don't we all? So what ever happens stay positive because your come out better on the other side.

So I’ve just had some chemo and now I’m on fluids which take about 4 hours. Currently got an hour and 26 mins left but starting to feel the effects of chemo already and my eyes have got really heavy. I want to sleep but I've just had lots of sweets so the sugar wont let me. Doh! Not long left now on the clock but the battery on my laptop is going to die soon.

It also sucks because its my 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend is today but she got stuck up in Scotland last night, when she was suppose to fly home and come back to mine. The flight was cancelled and she’s had to get a ride back today but because I’m at hospital I wont be home when she gets the train to mine so I wont see her today. Which sucks mega lots! Super lame but we can celebrate at the weekend.
I need a time machine. Please.

Take care and keep smiling!

Bone Marrow Results.

So if you haven't already heard my bone marrow results are fine! Phew what a relief! I was thinking all sorts when they first told me and was preparing myself for the bad news. Last night my stomach had butterflies and I was trying to distract myself from thinking about what today might bring. But all went well and all that worrying was for nothing.

When I got to the hospital I was looking out for my Leukaemia nurse Kim, I was looking to see what her expression was when she saw me. So I could tell what the result was but she didn't know so I didn't get any hints there, so I sat there waiting for the doc. Which takes around 40mins to an hour after bloods, but Kim came up to me before my Doc appointment and told me everything was fine. The thing was Kim kept coming back up to me to tell me different things and I kept getting paranoid every time she came up to me, that she was going to tell me something bad. When I got in to the see the doctor, he was upset because she had spoiled the surprise because he wanted to tell me. Silly old doctor!

So I'm super relieved and even a lumber puncture couldn't get me down. So counts are all up and I started the last two weeks of chemo today. It starts with a lumber puncture, which went fine little tender now but nothing I haven't had before. Also I have to go in tuesday to friday every day and have cytarabine daily which is a injection that I have through my line. I'm super happy about todays events and glad to get this back on the road.

Anyways my lovelies I'm off to bed.
Take care and keep smiling!

Lezza Mohawk.

So I've got cheeky footage of Sarah shaving my head because my hair is falling out due to the chemo its taking a few weeks for the chemo to kick in and eventually fall out the chemo is taking effect. You should see my laptop the keyboard is covered I have to keep blowing it to see the keys. The hair cut is very dykey and I'm looking extra lezzaish but I look like that anyways with the super short doo so its okay, something I've got use to over the last 9-10 months. I'm going to have to shave the rest off due to it still falling out loads.

Anyways I hope you enjoy the video and hope your all having fun!

Take care and keep smiling!

I'm Melting!

Just a quick update of whats going on pretty much a video blog of my latest blog and a few giggles thrown in. I've just been told I can go home, I'm just waiting for dad to pick me up. Also just had some good news but I don't wanna say to much as it might not happen so I'm gonna keep it to myself for a bit but keep watching this space to find out!

I can't wait to get home and in the sun and prepare for Zabrina's visit, she's coming later tonight and spending the weekend at mine. Haven't got anything planned but if the sun stays out and plays I think a BBQ and fun in the garden is in order. So I'm mega excited for that! Anyways I better go and get ready for dad to get me outta here!

Take care and keep smiling!

Setting Off Alarms!

Oh dearie me I've ended up back in hospital guys, I got a temperature on Sunday night and had to cut the weekend short with Sarah. I seem to have a cold but all seems to be getting better now other then this tickly cough which is lame. Also the steroids don't seem to be waring of and my sugar levels seem to be raised but they've put me on a tablet to sort it all out I only worry that it could be permanent but doctors are keeping an eye on it. Though its a good thing because its making me watch what I eat and I'm losing a little bit of weight but no doubt when I get home I'll be back on the krispy cremes.

I made a bit of a prat of myself the other night, I was asleep and hooked up to the pump and I woke up around 2am and had to take the pump to the toilet with me so I unplugged the pump made my way to the toilet and I'd left the buzzer attached to the pump meaning I pulled it out of the wall which sets off the buzzer alarm. Opposite the toilet is the button to turn of the alarm but because I had pulled the whole thing out it would not stop. So underneath is a red pull button which then I thought was the off button but no instead its was the EMERGENCY PULL button. Which sets off an even louder and faster buzzer which made two nurses run down the hall way and into my room within five seconds. Luckily for me the nurses are really nice and they untangled me and then left. Gotta say I was quite embarrassed and apologised several times, I just hope I didn't wake anyone up in the bays next door. Trust me!

It's a bit annoying I can't leave the room, the sun is beaming through and I got the window open and the breeze is lovely! I'm excited for this summer, I'm going to make the most of this one as the last one I spent the most of it in the Royal Marsden. Lets hope it stays sunny and warm, I think a visit to Thorpe Park and few trips to the coast is in order.

The parents are on there way to visit me and I've got Sarah spending the afternoon with me here which will be nice I'm hoping I'll be home by Friday. I really need to get out by Friday as my bestie Zabrina is coming to stay the weekend, which I'm mega excited about. She lives several hours away so I don't get to see her very much so when I do its always a giggle. Not exactly sure what were gonna do but lets hope the sun stays out. Hope you guys enjoy the sun to and are having fun!

Take care and keep smiling!

Dr Batty.

I'm just sitting here in out patients and I've got a few hours to kill before I have my lumber puncture. It's strange I look to my right and a couple have a set of beautiful twin girls and the father is having treatment. Then I look to my left and a old couple are together and the man, Mr Seymour only has approx six months left to live. I see this regularly but today seems to be pushing the buttons.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, I just feel weird a lot of thoughts are rushing around my head. I keep thinking of the past before I was diagnosed and all those things you take for granted. I get upset because not only do I want all those silly moments back and I want to be normal once again I also want that for everyone in this room. It's silly because for me in the next few months this may happen but I know for the old couple this won't be possible and to me that isn't fair. I don't want this to be a downer blog just emotions are high and I seem to be pretty emotional and in a crowded room this isn't good.

I also see a lot of good in this room, I see at the end of the room a guy in remission only a few months a head of me with his girlfriend. Smiles all around and banter is what I like to see, Its good when you see couples together bouncing of each other I think for someone with cancer it helps having that special person to be comforted by them even if nothing is exactly said a cuddle and squish can make all the difference. I'm lucky I've got a special someone but I've also got amazing friends and family that have been a great support through out this and that's something I will never take for granted.

I had a few surprises after I wrote I'd be hours waiting it's seemed to of shot by as soon as I kept getting my laptop out I was getting called for bloods, then the same happened when waiting for the doctor and then the same happened for my lumber puncture so we got home by three today when normally its six. Dr Batty did the procedure he's a friendly chap, who is slightly camp. It took a few attempts so I might be a little sore tomorrow. I jinxed my self by saying "last time went really quick" I knew I had shot myself in the foot as soon as the words left my mouth but to be honest when its over I've forgotten all about it and I'm ready for whatever is next.

I've got some footage of the weekend of me and Sarah being silly and shopping, I'm hoping to edit that and get that up soon and I want to get some footage of tomorrows treatment as I didn't get any today but to be honest I don't think anyone wants to see a lumber puncture. I was making the most of what energy I had left before this bit of treatment turns me in to more of a sloth. It's starting to kick in now and after a few hours of walking I need a snooze or some major chill out time.

Me and dad invested in the new branded t-shirts for the Royal Marsden, there pretty snazzy I think. Check out this Facebook page and like it please just to help with promoting the Royal Marsden March which I didn't realise was on, though being well next year I hope I can join in.

So I'm of to edit my footage and watch some rubbish television if I don't fall asleep first. Also might get a hair cut as I'm starting to get a mullet and not even a decent one at that though it seems pointless as it will fall out soon but I'm slowly turning into a wolf.

Take care and keep smiling!

SPIDERMAN VS BEN 10.

Howdy peoples! Me and my Mum spent the weekend at my Sisters and got some great footage of the boys, we had such a great time going on the pier and all sorts. Checkout the video to see what we got up to! I was giggling loads while editing the footage, I love these guys they make me laugh so much. Its a shame I don't get to see them more often but they live several hours from us but when we do see them its always great. Though were always knackered!

The Little Monsters!
We all watched Comic Relief Friday night and it had us all in tears so I had to donate. I never done it in the past but I've been blessed so much myself recently and people and charities have been so generous to me I feel like I need to give back as well. I just wish I could be out there building and helping in person as sometimes you never know where the money goes. Maybe in the future it will be something I will achieve, but Friday I did my bit and gave some money. Saturday we went to Western-Super-Mares Pier and spent loads of money that my Brother (Uncle Doo Doo's) had given us to treat the boys. The boys and also me went in a soft play area, then the bumper cars and 2p machines, deal or no deal, racing horses, grabber machines and more 2p machines and lots of other games. We were all very tired by the end of the day but it was well worth it. Sunday was similar ended up at a Hungry Horse near my Sister that had a play area, so once again me and the boys were in there obviously I was forced to go in and play. On the way home we popped into a garden centre which I saw a chameleon which made me want one even more, but mother says no. So also another day we were all exhausted and we had a little tea and cake for Kieran as its his birthday next week. Monday we returned to home, so we could get some sleep and recover for the next time we see them.

Messing With The Mac.
So I started my next and last course of treatment *fingers&toescrossed* today. I had Vincristine and Doxorubicin which is the one that makes your hair fall out and pee red, lovely I know. Please don't ask me to pronounce though because I have no idea. Also going to get Peg Asparaginase on Thursday which is an injection in your bum. I'm hoping I get a nurse that I don't know very well because the thought of knowing they've seen my bum is a bit odd. I'm telling you the proper names because I haven't really documented the exact chemo regime so I thought Id try keep you up to date with this last one. I also have to start taking Dexamethasone which are steroids, they make my face go red and my sugar levels rise. I'd say there the worst bit of the treatment, maybe because they prevent me from eating sweets! They also make you ache after you stop taking them. I'm a few hours on from my first shot and feel okay at the moment but I guess it will all kick in tomorrow. Three weeks of this then a week break then another three pretty intense weeks but keeping everything crossed its my last course of treatment and I will be in remission.

I'm gonna keep you guys posted on chemo days, so not only for you but for me to document what my last course is like so I can look back and go "oh that's what happened.." etc etc. I will try and film a little bit if I get the confidence to film in front of the nurse's and patients. If you guys have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them. I will try and respond as soon as possible, If you can't comment on here try me on my other sites. There on the side > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Anyways off to entertain the Bro other wise he beats me! :P

BritneyBuzz.

I've got a lot spare time, so with it I've edited video footage of me when I got my head shaved. Which was back in June/July time in 2010 due to the chemo. The Nurse in the video is Natalie and I hope she doesn't mind me putting it on the web, if she ever see's it. She was really good and made me feel comfortable through out the whole process, she made me laugh and made it easier. Natalie suggested that we gave my haircut a name and all I could think of was Britney shaving her head. So i came up with the Britney Buzz for the name. Also explains the name for this blog. We did have a good giggle through out the whole thing which I'm glad, my only worry when I got my head shaved was my ears sticking out!

Dad filmed the whole thing so I do apologise for the shakeyness of the camera. It's just a silly video I put together for a giggle not so much a video blog. I'm just going to wait a bit and get some decent footage for my next video blog.

I bought a wig which was quite expensive but I've never worn it out, just because I'm not that kind of person. I'm more comfortable with just wearing a hat or just going naked. The people I hang around with know I'm a baldie and there pretty cool so I've never felt the need to wear it. I like to wear different kind of hats. Though I found it hard at first to find hats that suited me but I got use to them the sillier the better. Some times people stare but I guess there just curious or nosey either way I'm not bothered.

My hair is slowly growing back and starting to take shape but I've still got the last course of treatment to have which will make my hair fall out again. So still going to be wearing hats for a little while longer, though its starting to warm up I can get the caps out or go naked just have to be careful I don't burn my little head.

So I hope you enjoy the video! Leave some love. :) x

FIRST VLOG.

FINALLY! finished my first video blog, I've been saying I was going to do this for several months now but finally got around to it. Its not exactly the most exciting video but it does let you into my little world. I was hoping I could of video blogged the "find the sense of tumour" but I had to stay in hospital but you all know this as I've mentioned it several times.

It was also a good excuse to use my new editing software and experiment with my mac, as it was a bit pricey so I want to make the most out of it. So hopefully after time my editing skills will get better, I also don't want to use transitions or special effects and just use the footage i get but i thought i'd spice this video up and try out a few bits.

Any way's just to let you know I'm off home and can't wait. The doctors say I'm good to go home but to come back on Wednesday, I also have to give my own jsf injections. Which I'm not looking forward to but I gotta do it, Jsf boost's your counts. Just waiting for pharmacy to cough up my drugs and then I'm off home. Cya guys. =]

Flasher.

£800 a night!
Just a quick update as I'm waiting for the parents to come and visit, so over the weekend not to much has happened but I have moved from the research ward to the Robert Tiffany ward which is a private ward. It's pretty fancy and the room I'm staying in is pretty huge, it's actually bigger then my mates flat (sorry Matt but it is) so i can't complain at all. I just asked the nurse what are the people like that come into these rooms and she said there just normal people but you get the odd rude person. Then she told me that its £800 a night! to stay in this room and all you really get extra is a free newspaper, which i didn't know and haven't been taking advantage of. So tomorrow I'm defo getting my newspaper.

Earlier I had to have an ECG which is just to monitor your heart rate mine seems to be a little fast but apparently its always been like that. What they do is stick all these stickers on you chest and even some on your legs, then they attache the wires to the stickers. But I had to undo my bra which I wasn't pleased about but its the only way to get to the chest and she ended up seeing my boobies! Not only was there one nurse but two to add to my embrassment but never mind no doubt they've seen millions of boobies and doesn't phase them at all.

I said I was going to do a video blog, which I'm currently editing and putting together so hopefully that will be up in the next few days. I'm not sure how interesting it will be as I'm restricted to one room but i'll give it my best shot. I've also set up a tumblr which I'm just getting use to seems pretty good for bloggers or people that network so check it out. Very like twitter so if you like that you might enjoy this, check out my page http://tenaciouskt.tumblr.com/

Top up, Bad Pic of me Soz!
Also gotta have a unit of blood as I'm a little low, hooked up for two hours not that i mind, not like I'm going out for the day. I hope everyone at "find your sense of tumour" is having a great time and enjoying it. I'm defo gonna go next year even if I invite myself.

So I'm off to have my lunch and feel my belly with glorious food. Then the old parents should be here to entertain.

BRIGHTSIDE.

So here it goes.. its official I have no luck! I'd been looking forward for several weeks that I was going to "find your sense of tumour" and I was nearly there I just had one more day with a top up of blood and a boost of platelets but no it wasn't going to be that simple and I ended up with a temperature and now spending the weekend in The Royal Marsden. I was pretty gutted when i heard the dreaded "38" Any ALL patient will no what i mean, no matter what happens you always end up having about 5 day stay and anti-botics.

The Crib.
I got a bit emotional, luckily there was only a few nurse's about and they made me chuckle but I blame the fact I hadn't slept very well the night before as I've got the meanest and baddest of ulcers on the end of my tongue which for the last couple of nights has kept getting me up every few hours. Plus I'm just a big cry baby but I'm looking on the bright side though, I'm just going to think that I'm staying in a hotel as i do have my own room which is a bonus and I do get my meals brought to me which is very like room service and i have a en suite so if i just glam it up in my mind this could be a nice break away. Though i can't complain as i nearly ended up in my local A&E as the Marsden didn't have any beds for a while. I'm in the research ward and not exactly sure what there gonna do to me up here but I'm hoping they give me superhuman powers or something cool like that. If you see a giant green monster bouncing around the Sutton area it may be me.

The View from the penthouse.
I'm watching the clock for 9:30 as the coach will be leaving at this time and i have the perfect view to watch it leave I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not as i feel tempted to do a runner but being the good little patient i wont. I was thinking of video blogging the "find your sense of tumour" but now wont be possible so i might still try and do something over the next few days. I feel like I should use this time to be creative or make a video, so no doubt your see a few bits come your way this weekend. So I'm going to finish of by watching Jeremy Kyle, while i wait for my parents to bring me my bits and pieces and a nice visit from my Nan no doubt she will have a few funny stories to tell.

Take care and keep smiling.

I'm Cruising for a Bruising.

Hey peoples! I'm sitting here blogging in the Royal Marsden and stealing their wifi, I'm waiting for 2 units of platelets to prepare me for my Lumber puncture. As my counts are 29 and should be 50 its not the most pleasant of procedure's but its gotta be done. So I'm going to update you on my latest events I've had such a good weekend i finally got my new car which was provided by the Motability scheme which if you have a high rate disability allowance you can exchange for a nice new car. I know it sounds like I'm promoting it but i just think its such a good scheme for people who need travel. The Hospital is 40 minutes away from me but i know some people travel over 2 hours some days, not including traffic. I've linked it for anyone who might be interested.

MY NEW RIDE.
I haven't drove for over 7 months, so getting back in the driving seat was a bit weird but felt oh so very good at the shame time.  I was a bit worried about driving again, and it didn't help when i got in the driving seat that two police cars pulled up behind me. Not exactly a good start but they drove of, took me a little while to get back in the swing of it. I drove all around and then me and Sarah went up all around the area I live so I could get back into the swing of things. I drove up the Hospital today no glitches or accidents so it was all good. I've missed the silly things like singing my heart out with the radio full blast and having the freedom to drive when ever or wherever i like. So beware because I'm back on the road!

I'm currently plugged in to my first bag, got a hour or so till possible LP but no doubt take a few but I'm not to fussed as I'm pretty distracted by blogging. Also keep getting distracted by other things chatting away to people but its always nice to catch up and see everyone. Just chatting to a guy who's been to the "find your sense of tumour" the year before and says its a really good experience. So I'm really looking forward to going and pretty excited. Only a week or two to go!

Take care and keep smiling!
