Olinseloss - WEEK FOUR & FIVE - FYF

Olinseloss - WEEK FOUR - FYF

Olinseloss - WEEK FIVE - FYF

So hey folks! I'm gonna apologise again for the slacking in blogging and not even updating, but I'm doing it now so don't go on about it. These are my latest weight loss videos which aren't all that interesting but for those who care, check it out! The main reason I'm posting these are because I actually won the Olinseloss challenge this week, which I'm so pleased about. ( I'll link and post the video below this, for those who wanna see the shout out.) I was mega shocked on the loss this week as it was 3lb and after the week I had of lack of fitness and not exactly the best diet but thats how your body works at times. Just hope it stays off, which all together makes over a stone, so I'm really chuffed at the moment!

I'm going to update properly real soon, I've been up in the clouds and not really with it the past few weeks so trying to put that into words hasn't been easy. But I'll be back on track soon enough, love you guys! :) xxx

That Birds Got Swagger!

Hey peoples! This vid is just a mash up of last weekend, I had a busy one having lunch in Richmond with Matt and sitting by the riverside. A few geese gotta a little to close but the sunset was gorgeous along the river. Saturday I spent with my bro at pub, we watched the band The SkaSouls which were such a buzzing band and they didn't take them self to seriously. Sunday I went and visited Sarah in London on South Bank, we walked along the river watching the street performers and enjoying the sights. I've messed around with this video a bit but I hope you enjoy it!

I haven't really been up to much this week, I had a major clear out of my stuff and got rid of loads. I'm going to do a car boot Sunday to go towards my spending money for Amsterdam. Which is only 7 days away! I'm really looking forward to be going away even if its only 3 days, I'm in major need of a break. I'm hoping to have a few more video's up in the next few weeks as I've got quite a bit planned. Anyways off to chill, love you peoples!

Take care and keep smiling!

Zzzz...

Well I can't sleep! Doh! I shouldn't of had that three hour nap earlier. So anyways yesterday wasn't exactly the news I was hoping to get from the hospital. My results had come back but were showing a less then 1%  of cells that look like cancer cells, but they still can't tell after two bone marrow tests. On the cells are these markers which appear on cancer cells but also normal cells. So because they don't know exact what is appearing in my results they are discussing wether or not I should have a transplant instead of carrying on with maintanance. I was a bit gutted after of a year of treatment and I was starting to get my life back but now this has popped up its a slight set back. But I've gotta stay positive as its not 100% that I've gotta have a transplant but its one of the options. So I've got three weeks to see what the doctors come up with they said that they need to contact a few specialists around the world and get there opinions. So I'll keep you all updated in the next couple of weeks with whats happening. So I'm gonna try make the most of the next few weeks so Amsterdam here I come! One week to go! Off to sleep nighty night! :) x

LONDON GAY PRIDE 2011

Hey Geezers! I know its been a while, Its been a busy couple of weeks and this video is of last weekend of me and my mates at gay pride. It was a awesome day and I really enjoyed it was good to be back in London and having a good time with the gays again. I didn't get as much footage as I would of liked but I hope you enjoy the video!

I'm just editing the footage of the Sunday of the same weekend at Airplay studios, me and the guys went for a jam session and I had a really good time. I've really missed making music with them, it inspires me to keep playing my guitar as I've been a bit slack lately. Also its got me craving a drum kit, which always happens to me known again. I need to convince my mum that I NEED one!

Last Monday I had a bone marrow all went well except I kinda woke up from the sedation before they did it and felt a little pulling but it was okay other then that. I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow, I think I will get most of the results tomorrow but it takes around two weeks for the full results so maybe they wont tell me anything in till they have all the information. So I'll update you guys with the info as soon as I know whats going on.

Only 10 days to Amsterdam, I'm getting excited! Got my little travel guide like the tourist I am, the map pops out which also excites me! Right I'm off to bed now up early for the doc's! Night night my cherubs!

Take care and keep smiling!

Trophy Whore.

Hey peoples so I realised I've been mega lame on the blogging front, actually I've been pretty lame altogether these last couple of weeks. I've been slacking on my videos, blogs, twitter and photo booth the main reason for this is, I'm a trophy whore. Yes a trophy whore for those who do not know what one of these are well, Its a person who likes to collect trophies. Which are achievements you get when playing PS3 games, not the big metal things you keep on your mantel piece. I enjoy playing computer games but it seems to of got out of control trying to beat my brothers trophy score, I know I've got a problem. Anyways thats enough about my addictions, I'll update you with whats been going on.

So Monday I went to the doctors for a check up and just had my bloods tested, one of the reasons my counts weren't coming up very quickly was because I was lacking in folic acid so now I've got a tablet which helps with that so hopefully the counts should boost up now. The last couple of weeks I've been trying to build myself up and start to get these muscles working again. I've got to have another bone marrow on Monday the last one they couldn't get the exact results so on this bone marrow there going to use another technic on the blood to get the right results.

I got some very sad news one of the gentlemen I speak to Mr Seymour, his cancer has come back and he's really not well and he said to me that it would be his last time up at the Marsden. So my thoughts are with him and his wife. A very nice man and a pleasure to meet him.

I visited Sarah last weekend in Greenwich, which was really awesome and the weather was beautiful! This was the first time Id properly been out and ventured into London again. My legs really needed the workout and I feel better for it. The reason I'm trying to get the muscles back up and running is that I've booked to go away next month to Amsterdam which my bestie Matt and I want to be ready and able to enjoy it all.

Also this weekend is Gay pride in London so I'm going to that, I'll be videoing it. I missed out last year on my summer so I'm going to make the most of this one. Also got a few other things planned which I will mention nearer the time but I'm really looking forward to this summer.  Hope you all enjoyed the super hot weather! Also Friday night I'm going to a freak show, not to sure what to expect but I'll defo keep you posted.

I promise I'll update more I've got a few more events going on lately so I'll have better things to blog, tweet and vlog about!

Take care and keep smiling!

I need me a bit of sunshine.

Hello you wonderful people, so I'm just sitting in out patients getting some of the A+ stuff. I finished the intense course on friday but still seem to be having the side effects which is this awful migraine which made me sleep pretty much all day sunday. It has started to shift but I can still feel my eyes being pretty heavy. I've taken these strong painkillers which seem to of helped mega loads but they make me drowsy so my eyes are slowly getting heavier. Which isn't good when your trying to write a blog.

Other then this headache everything seems to be going well, I had a bit of a scare because my counts weren't coming up so I had a bone marrow. Which has come back in remission which is good I just have to wait for the other results. Which might takes us in another direction but we can go down that road as it comes but as I said everything is going pretty well.

The next thing now is to build myself up, ready for maintenance then hopefully I can go back to work and get back into the swing of things. My hair seems to be coming through quite quickly I can't wait to have some kind of style again. These little things make a big difference.

So a bit of subject change, I noticed on facebook a lot of people are off on their holidays, which I'm gonna be honest I'm mega jealous! I've been craving the beach for weeks now and I was suppose to go to cornwall with the family saturday but because my treatment was delayed I've had to stay at home. The weather hasn't been to great for them apparently but I think its been good enough to sit on the beach, I know the boys would sit on there in a storm. Well hopefully it will be me on my holidays soon, but I can't seem to make up my mind where to go, any suggestions?

Well I'm offskies see ya peoples!

SPOON FIGHT!

Hey peoples, did you all have a good bank holiday? Well this video is just a quick update of my bank holiday monday, which was pretty chilled out and I really enjoyed it. Its a pretty silly video but I think it worth a watch, me and Sarah had a good giggle at trying to play the key board and making chocolate cornflakes.

I've nearly finished this course of treatment and tomorrow will be my last day. This chemo hasn't been to bad, I was feeling pretty sick but thanks to the anti-sickness injection I've been pretty good. Got a few things to mention but I'm gonna put that in another blog soon. Hope all you beautiful people are well!

Take care and keep smiling!

Bone Marrow Results.

So if you haven't already heard my bone marrow results are fine! Phew what a relief! I was thinking all sorts when they first told me and was preparing myself for the bad news. Last night my stomach had butterflies and I was trying to distract myself from thinking about what today might bring. But all went well and all that worrying was for nothing.

When I got to the hospital I was looking out for my Leukaemia nurse Kim, I was looking to see what her expression was when she saw me. So I could tell what the result was but she didn't know so I didn't get any hints there, so I sat there waiting for the doc. Which takes around 40mins to an hour after bloods, but Kim came up to me before my Doc appointment and told me everything was fine. The thing was Kim kept coming back up to me to tell me different things and I kept getting paranoid every time she came up to me, that she was going to tell me something bad. When I got in to the see the doctor, he was upset because she had spoiled the surprise because he wanted to tell me. Silly old doctor!

So I'm super relieved and even a lumber puncture couldn't get me down. So counts are all up and I started the last two weeks of chemo today. It starts with a lumber puncture, which went fine little tender now but nothing I haven't had before. Also I have to go in tuesday to friday every day and have cytarabine daily which is a injection that I have through my line. I'm super happy about todays events and glad to get this back on the road.

Anyways my lovelies I'm off to bed.
Take care and keep smiling!

EAGER BEAVER.

Well I've been a bit lame lately and haven't updated for a little while so I'll update you with the latest events. So if you didn't know already they've delayed my chemo three weeks due to my counts not being high enough. Also because my counts aren't coming up very quickly, I'm having a bone marrow tomorrow to check that everything is normal and that the cancer hasn't come back and causing my counts to drop. I'm a bit scared and I have a thousand things flying around my head but I'm keeping a positive attitude!

It also sucks because I'm really eager to get this chemo started as I'm so close to finishing this last course. Also means I'm going to miss my trip away with the boys in cornwall because I wont be fit enough in time after the chemo if this last course carries on. So I'm a bit gutted about that but never mind there gonna come and stay for a week in the summer so thats something to look forward to it.

Last couple of days I've been chilling and also started working on my project and fixing up an old bmx which was a project I started before I got ill and its looking pretty good. I know nothing about bmxs but it was a little project for me to keep busy. Its not finished yet but what do you guys think of it? Thats what the top video blog is about and you can see what I've been working on.

I also went and bought a skateboard! Should be arriving in the next couple of days, I didn’t spend to much but it looks like a good kit. The reason for my impulse buy is I was watching a youtube video on the channel http://www.youtube.com/user/phamdamily. Which is a family which vlogs daily and they went out to buy a birthday present for his wife, and she chooses a skateboard as she wanted to learn and if a mum of three can do it so can I! Its really inspired me to be more adventurous and do all the things that I wanna do. One of them is learning to skateboard and hopefully the goal is to at least be able to cruise around.

Anyways gonna go sleep, night guys!

Take care and keep smiling!

Fun in the Sun.

Hey peoples! I had one of the best weekends I've had in a while, my best friend Zabrina came from up north to see me and she spent the weekend at mine. We went into town and got some bits and bobs to play in the garden with and we spent the morning sat in the sun by the river. Then spent the afternoon in the garden playing in the sun, watch the video to see what we got up to! I loved it all and to make it perfect Matt, Darren and Sarah also came over on the Sunday for a BBQ and we just messed around in the sun, taking full advantage of the hot weather.

I love the smell of sun cream it brings back all the good times I spent on Holiday, though its making me crave to go away to some where hot and some where with a pool but all in good time. I've got a few ideas of what my first break away will be, I'm thinking Florida and going to all the theme parks and laying by the hotel pool with a cocktail. I know I'm going to Cornwall with my Mum, Sister and Nephews in the summer so I've got that to look forward to but I don't think there's exotic drinks and pool at the place were going to but it is lovely there and the sunsets are beautiful. I'll have to settle for Cornish pastie and pint of cider.

So just to update you with whats going on with me, I'm on a week off as the chemo was kicking my ass and I restart my chemo on the 18th. Then it should only be around six weeks then I've finished this course of treatment. I'm feeling really good and have more energy then normal so I really enjoyed this weekend. The only thing is my hair is starting to fall out it keeps going all over my keyboard, Sarah shaved it yesterday but I kept it long on top for a laugh but I look super dykey, well even more so then I already did. So I think I will shave it all off soon. I've got footage of Sarah shaving it which I will edit and upload soon so keep an eye out for that.

Also I'm still having the side effects of the steroids which made me diabetic which I'm coping with pretty well and with the help of Gliclazide a tablet that brings my sugar levels down. I'm also trying to be strict with diet, but been a bit hard due to all the BBQ's. I'm trying to cut down on the rubbish food because of the diabetes and because I need to lose weight. I lost around half a stone from being in hospital and eating proper food, so I feel it would be silly to put that back on for me then to have to lose it again in say a few months when this is treatment is over which was the original plan. My name is Katie Seedwell and I'm a junk food junkie and I have a problem.

Anyways you beautiful people I have another video to edit so I'm off and have fun in the sun! I hope you enjoy the video! =]

Take care and keep smiling!

Bummer.

Hey guys just a quick video blog update would of got it up yesterday but I got a bit tired after editing the footage so I'm putting it up now. I had an injection in the bum which was a little stingy but nothing to complain about. I didn't mind the nurse either she's always really nice and it wasn't to painful so were still friends. Currently on steroids which make my cheeks go red and my sugar levels go up, so I'm being good at the moment and trying not to eat any chocolate or sugary drinks. Which I find quite hard being addicted to coke. I've also got a malteaser bunny staring at me on my desk but I'm being extra good and not giving in but this is only in till Sunday, so Monday I'll be overdosing on anything sugary and that bunny will be mine!

Sarah is coming over later so I'm planning to cook us a meal a pepperoni pasta dish will be my third new recipe. Three weeks running haven't had any fails yet! I went into my work today to get the ingredients and spent ages chatting to my work mates which was nice. I bought mum a few mothers days presents but shh! Just in case I can't get out in the next few weeks to get her anything so I'm preparing for it now. I'm feeling good at moment and waiting for this chemo to do its nasty job but no doubt it will kick in soon but in till then I'm going to enjoy this little bit of energy I have. This sun is lovely and I should be spending way more time in it so that's what I'm gonna do peoples ENJOY!

Take care and keep smiling!

FIRST VLOG.

FINALLY! finished my first video blog, I've been saying I was going to do this for several months now but finally got around to it. Its not exactly the most exciting video but it does let you into my little world. I was hoping I could of video blogged the "find the sense of tumour" but I had to stay in hospital but you all know this as I've mentioned it several times.

It was also a good excuse to use my new editing software and experiment with my mac, as it was a bit pricey so I want to make the most out of it. So hopefully after time my editing skills will get better, I also don't want to use transitions or special effects and just use the footage i get but i thought i'd spice this video up and try out a few bits.

Any way's just to let you know I'm off home and can't wait. The doctors say I'm good to go home but to come back on Wednesday, I also have to give my own jsf injections. Which I'm not looking forward to but I gotta do it, Jsf boost's your counts. Just waiting for pharmacy to cough up my drugs and then I'm off home. Cya guys. =]

Take care and keep smiling.

Ickle Update.

Well ive been pretty lazy lately ive not blogged in a while because the plan was to video blog but the software i got to edit the videos isn't that great so its put me of and i tend to just use my ipod touch to browse the internet these days..  I know its a lame excuse and i should really get myself in gear.  The plan is to get myself a Mac laptop and then this will be a much easier process but they cost lots of pennies, so currently selling mystuff on ebay to help. The reason im blogging today is that my girfriend sent me a link to my facebook of a guy that has got ALL Leukemia  just like me and he is blogging about it, ive only read a few of his blogs but i really enjoyed the read and could relate to a few of things he was mentioning. I'll put a link below for those who are interested but defo worth checking out.

So not alot has happened lately im on a less intense course of treatment and been having a "hoilday" as such but still having a little chemo via tablet form and lumber puncture every four weeks. My treatment seems to be on track at the moment and everything is clear. *touches wood* I've been invited to a weekend away in Nottingham its a Cancer conference called "don't forget you sense of tumour" its something like that anyway but still very dodgy and took me 5 seconds to click when i was told. I still haven't decided wether to go but i think i will maybe it will be my first vlogging piece. =] So if i go i'll defo blog about it.

So me and my best friend Matt went to Birdworld which is only 40 mins away from me, was a really nice day out. It's a nice place if you haven't got much energy its nice to walk round and plenty of places to chill out. I found the parrots quite amusing as some of them can talk, well they can say "hello" and "Goodbye" but in a very gay tone or strangley like a woman it was very weird.

I've been to the cinema a few times, and i went tand saw The Kings Speech a very good film. I went with my Nan, i know rock 'n' roll but i don't see her very much because shes probley more social then any other person i know.. but i wouldnt want it any other way. The cinema was filled with old people which was strange cause id never seen that before thats what ya get when you go before 3 it was funny they all chatted through the adverts i thought i was gonna have more trouble, but luckly when the film started they all became silent or fell asleep im not sure.

So I'm of to Brighton this weekend with Sarah for a valentines get away and a nice break away from the cell i call my room. I can't wait to go on the waltzers and eat candy floss :) though i hope they have seats near the slot machines cause Sarah spends hours on the 2p machines.. im really looking forward to getting away.  Allthough i'll be spending valentines at the hosptial, Sarah will becoming with me I do take her to all the fancy places..

Anyways im of to go pack my bag for Gaytown. =]
Take care people and keep smiling.
